Cosas spokesperson Benny Mokoena says Education MEC Ishmael Kgetjepe has failed learners by producing a 65.6 % pass rate.

The learner organisation, Congress of South African Students (Cosas) in Limpopo has called on Premier Stan Mathabatha to fire Education MEC Ishmael Kgetjepe after last year’s matric pass rate.

Cosas spokesperson Benny Mokoena says Kgetjepe has failed learners by producing a 65.6 % pass rate.

Mokoena says there is also no improvement in infrastructure at a number of schools in the rural areas.

“Mr Kgetjepe must vacate the offices. It’s been a long time that Mr Kgetjepe has been in office,  he can’t even tell a good story in that office, the premier of this province must to a serious intervention in that office and they are only calling parental meetings but not to hear the side of learners,” says Mokoena.
