Three accused men in the murder trial of Stellenbosch student, Hannah Cornelius have been found guilty of her murder in the High Court in Cape Town.

A fourth accused, Nashville Julius has been convicted of kidnapping and robbery.

21-year-old Cornelius and her university friend, Cheslin Marsh, were kidnapped in May last year while sitting in her vehicle in Stellenbosch.

Cornelius’ body was found the next day outside Stellenbosch, while Marsh was robbed, beaten and left for dead.

Judge Rosheni Allie kicked off court proceedings on Wednesday morning by recounting the night of the attack. She is reading out the testimony of the accused and those of the police officers who investigated the murder.

The public gallery is packed with supporters of victims of crime, including members of the Hannah Cornelius Foundation.
