The Congress of the People (Cope) says they want a minimum of 20 seats in the National Assembly post 2019 elections. The party currently has three seats in the national assembly.

Cope leader  Mosiuoa Lekoto presented his party’s manifesto at East London’s Orient Theatre on Saturday – ahead of the 2019 general elections.

He says the party aims to grow its numbers to get more seats in the National Assembly.

Secretary General Papi Kganare says they will only entertain the idea of coalition government with principled parties that share the similar ideas in terms of improving the lives of people of the country.
