SA’s Paralympics team of 62 athletes is excited about the games taking place in London end of August.
Taking off from OR Tambo on Tuesday night, spirits were high and the team is confident they will bring back many medals. The country’s Olympic body,Sascoc, expects the team to bring home more than the 30 medals achieved at the Beijing Paralympics four years ago.The award winning Soweto gospel choir was at the airport to entertain the fans, and also wish the team good luck ahead of its departure. Like the Sport and Recreation Minister Fikile Mbalula, fans and relatives are also confident the team will do well.
