The cold weather in the eastern parts of the country’s interior is expected to ease from Wednesday, after a two-day cold front.

Temperatures will be returning to the upper teens or 20, except in the Mpumalanga Highveld.

South African Weather Service forecaster Mbavhi Maliage has details for Gauteng:

“We had a cut of low earlier this week that caused a drop in temperatures and some rainfall, but we are expecting temperatures to increase as the cut of low is moving out of country. So, it is no longer affecting us in Gauteng. Already for today the temperatures are in Vereeniging is 18, JHB is 18 and Pretoria 20.”
