Chippa United will play in their first-ever final since the establishment of the club eleven years ago. The Eastern Cape-based side beat Pretoria Callies, who are campaigning in the GladAfrica Championship, 1-0 in Atteridgeville earlier this afternoon in the Nedbank Cup.

The Chilli Boys will now face the winners between Mamelodi Sundowns and Tshakhuma FC in the final of the last knockout competition of the season in South African football.

Chippa are currently second from the bottom of the DSTV Premiership under caretaker coach Siyabulela Gwambi, who took over from Dan Malesela, at the beginning of this month.

Callies created more scoring opportunities than their more experienced opponents.

Sandile Mthethwa came from nowhere to put Chippa in the lead midway through the second half.
