Chippa United upbeat ahead of Sundowns clash

24 November 2017, 6:45 AM  |
SABC SABC |  @SABCNews

The Eastern Cape based Chippa United Football Club will be looking to return to winning ways when the Chillie Boys clash with Mamelodi Sundowns in a PSL encounter at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.

Chippa’s Caretaker Coach Teboho Moloi will be looking to register his first win in the stadium and the Chillie Boys’ first win against the Brazillian in Port Elizabeth.

A team that wins will go to the top of the log. The last time the two sides met in a Telkom Knockout encounter in East London last month, Chippa won the match by a single goal.

“It was very important for us to get a win against Sundowns so that the belief is there that anyone who comes to the Eastern Cape we can beat. The players understand the importance of the game and they understand the hype around the game.  And they know they don’t understand. As much as we have lost against Kaizer Chiefs they didn’t disappoint. So we will go out there and perform” says Moloi.
