According to Tinkler, the club has won only once in Port Elizabeth last season.

Chippa United coach, Eric Tinkler, wants his team to start winning matches at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

United, whose last appearance at the stadium was in August against Orlando Pirates, will host Free State Stars on Wednesday night in an Absa Premiership match.

Tinkler will also make his Port Elizabeth debut as Chippa United coach since taking over the reins from Dan Malesela in August.

He has been in charge for three games, with two of them played in East London.

According to Tinkler, the club has won only once in Port Elizabeth last season.

“It’s about mind-set, changing the players’ mind-set, making them aware that this is home. We need to ensure that we collect maximum points against any team we play. It’s about defending your castle, you are going to be there to defend your castle. Don’t allow people  to come to dictate and dominate you in your home. That has been my philosophy with the players since my arrival.”
