Research shows that there’s an increasing need for employers to better and understand challenges facing working mothers to retain their skills while on maternity leave.
According to a 2015 study by Citrix, one of the ways companies could do this is to introduce remote working.
It also states that this form of working could add R17 billion to the county’s economy.
Entrepreneur and founder of BabyYumYum Amanda Rogaly says a lot of women fear they might lose their jobs or miss a promotion, “I definitely find that corporates are changing, corporates are becoming more accepting of women in the workplace and accommodating in terms of women and their families.”
