Chabane’s Deputy Ayanda Dlodlo says they will continue where her former boss has left off

People continue to send their condolences to the family. Chabane’s Deputy Ayanda Dlodlo says they will continue where her former boss has left off.

She was speaking to the SABC after meeting with the Chabane family on Monday morning. Chabane is the second head of the
Public Service and Administration to die in office in less than three years.

His predecessor Roy Payachee died in 2012 while attending an African Union meeting in Ethiopia. Dlodlo says they are distraught
as the department.

The Mpumalanga government has also joined South Africans in sending messages of condolences to the family.

Premier David Mabuza’s spokesperson Zibonele Mncwango says the premier has expressed shock at the deaths. “Premier Mabuza said the minister was a very deep thinker, the person who would not comment unnecessarily. Indeed it is a great loss for South Africa but he has asked for the family to have strength during this time.”
