A case of unlawfully discharging of a firearm has been opened at Matimatolo Police Station in Greytown in the KwaZulu-Natal midlands.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Thembeka Mbhele says members of the African National Congress were having their Branch General Meeting when two of their members had an argument.
Mbhele says the man then started assaulting the woman he was having a disagreement with.
“He started discharging his firearm not pointing at anyone. There is a case of unlawful discharging of firearm, and also the woman that he was having an argument with, as we’re talking, she is opening a case of assault at Imatimatolo Police Station. There have been no arrests at the moment both incidents are being investigated.”
