Two men accused of burning to death an elderly farmer and his wife at Levubu have had their case postponed for further investigations by the Vuwani Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo.

Andries Louis and Ina Cloete were tied and burnt beyond recognition in their farmhouse during a robbery last week.

The accused, Mukhethwa Magoma and Engetelo Sambo, had loaded several items in the victim’s vehicle but fled on foot after a passer-by saw them.

The provincial National Prosecuting Authority’s Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi says the accused have been remanded in custody.

“Two alleged accused, Mukhethwa Goodman Magoma and Engetelo Advance Sambo, have appeared in Vuwani Magistrate’s Court following the brutal farm murder in Levubu in which deceased Andries Cloete was burnt beyond recognition. The matter is postponed to 11 May for further investigations.”
