The case against the man who allegedly killed 28-year-old Mmatlala Moahlodi by dousing her with petrol and setting her alight in front of her home at Koster near Rustenburg has been postponed to Thursday.
Sipho Sibanda appeared briefly in Koster Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
His case was postponed after he followed the court’s advice to seek legal representation, given the seriousness of the charges against him.

The victim’s family says he deserves no mercy. Lebogang Moahlodi is the family spokesperson.

“What happened to Mmatlala is very painful for her mother. Sipho killed Mmatlala just when she had started working. Just when Mmatlala was starting to work for her injured mother, Sipho decided to be God and end her life.”
