The case of five men who allegedly killed Gabisile Shabani 13, who had albinism has been transferred from the Witbank Magistrate’s Court to the High Court in Delmas in Mpumalanga.
The suspects appeared briefly in the Witbank Magistrate’s Court on Thursday. They are also accused of killing Shabani’s 15-month-old nephew Nkosikhona Ngwenya.
The two victims were kidnapped from their home in January and were later found dead in different areas with missing body parts.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson, Monica Nyuswa says the suspects will appear in court on 19 August 2019.
The state says that it is ready for trial as the investigation has been finalised and all suspects are in custody.
