Shaun Abrahams has until the fifth of next month to give the Council for the Advancement of South African Constitution (CASAC) the assurance that he will not drop the corruption charges against President Jacob Zuma.

The Council for the Advancement of South African Constitution (CASAC) has advised National Director for Public Prosecutions, Advocate Shaun Abrahams to respect the Constitutional Court to avoid what it terms unnecessary consequences.

He has until January 5 to give CASAC the assurance that he will not drop the corruption charges against President Jacob Zuma.

This follows the Constitutional Court directive that prohibited Abraham from taking a decision on the charges against Zuma because his own appointment is in dispute.
