Cape Town Disaster Management says its teams are on high alert following a warning from the Weather Office about stormy conditions on Wednesday night.
Spokesperson, Charlotte Powell, says there is a risk of localised flooding in the metropole.
“Cape Town will experience severe weather conditions from this evening into tomorrow morning. Gale force winds, thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are expected over the metrople which could lead to localised flooding and damaging winds. All city services and external agencies are placed on stand-by to deal with the consequences of severe weather conditions.”
