Spain’s Jorge Campillo won the Qatar Masters golf tournament, after he birdied the fifth extra hole in a play-off with Scotland’s David Drysdale.
Overnight leader, Campillo, together with Drysdale finished regulation play on 13 under 271 for the tournament.
It was difficult to separate the two in the play-off, and it was only when Campillo birdied the fifth extra hole, and Drysdale came up short, that the Qatar Masters for 2020 was concluded.
It’s a second European Tour victory for Campillo, and heart-ache for Drysdale, this tournament was his 498th start on the tour, and he is still searching for his first win.
