Civil society groups and journalists who were affected and impacted by the alleged political interference into the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) editorial decisions are calling for heads to roll, if the Commission of Inquiry finds any wrong-doing by past and present employees.

The Commission led by veteran journalist, Joe Thloloe, was established in May 2018  to investigate the conduct of some past and present employees between 2012 and 2018.

It was during the hearings at the Ad Hoc Committee, set-up by parliament to probe editorial interference into the SABC where several executives and other employees laid bare the rot that was going on at the public broadcaster.

Now that these shenanigans have been properly investigated, civil society groups are calling for consequence management.
