CAF to elect new leadership in March 2021

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee will host an elective General Assembly on March 12 in Rabat, Morocco.

A new Board and President will be elected.

South African Football Association (Safa) and the South African government announced that business tycoon and Mamelodi Sundowns owner, Patrice Motsepe, has been put forward to stand for the CAF presidency and received the backing of Nigeria; Sierra Leone; Botswana and Zimbabwe.

Thursday is the closing date for nominations of the candidates.
