The Proudly South African annual Buy Local Summit and Expo is underway at Sandton Convention Centre.
The summit started on Wednesday and focuses on SMMEs and entrepreneurs and also looks at the development of supplier and how it offers an entry to markets for small businesses.
On Thursday the theme is ‘Local Procurement: Policy of Preference’, which focuses on issues like the promotion of buying local and if the government and the private sector should do more.
The summit creates a platform for entrepreneurs to network with a number of organisations and institutions that can advise them on administrative, legislative and compliance issues.
