Buthelezi hails Zwelithini for instilling cultural values in Zulu people

Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi has used Heritage Day to acknowledge the role of the king of the AmaZulu, Goodwill Zwelithini, in instilling cultural values in Zulu people. Buthelezi was speaking at KwaDukuza on the KwaZulu- Natal North Coast.

The former Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) leader used his address to express concern about the recent spate of attacks on foreign nationals.  He has also emphasized concern about the criminal element in the attacks.

Meanwhile, KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala has stressed that government will not allow people to be in the country illegally. He says such people must be deported because each country has its own laws.

Speaking at the same event, the Chairperson of the KwaZulu-Natal House of Traditional Leaders Phathisizwe Chiliza criticised men who persecute and abuse women and children. He says it is the responsibility of all men to prevent such abuse.

Chiliza also condemned attacks on nationals from other African countries, saying it was inhumane and clashes with African cultural values.
