Workers are demanding a 9.5% wage increase in 2018 and another 9% in 2019.

The Golden Arrow Bus Service says all its services will remain suspended in Cape Town due to the on-going nationwide bus strike.

The bus strike is now in its third week. Workers are demanding a 9.5% wage increase in 2018 and another 9% in 2019.

Golden Arrow spokesperson Bronwynne Dyke-Beyer has urged passengers to keep their monthly tickets until the service resumes.

“Negotiations are on-going and therefore our services remain suspended. We therefore like to sincerely apologise for to our passengers who are inconvenience during this time. We would like to remind them to keep clip cards because there will be an extension in place once the service do resume.”

MyCiti Bus Service will also remain suspended until further notice.

Commuters are requested to make alternative travelling arrangements as there will also be no feeder services available along the bus route.
