Bulls Coach Pote Human has made three changes to his side to face the Sharks in a Super Rugby match in Pretoria on Saturday.

Ivan van Zyl starts in place of Embrose Papier at scrumhalf while Tim Agaba and Jannes Kirsten take the places of Eli Snyman and Ruan Steenkamp among the forwards.

So far this season, it’s been a mixed bag of performances by most Super Rugby teams. The Bulls are unbeaten in South Africa, but in between those two matches against the Stormers and the Lions, they lost against the Jaguares in a poor performance in Argentina.

Bulls Captain Handre Pollard says that consistency is a struggle for most teams.

“If I was a betting man, I wouldn’t know where to put my money after the last weekend’s games. But most of the teams are struggling at the moment with consistency and that is the key thing in Super Rugby to perform at your best week after week.”

Human says his team wants to dominate with their forwards, but they are not just a one dimensional side.

“Traditionally, the Bulls have always had a strong pack of forwards. What we want to do is make sure we continue that tradition. It doesn’t mean forwards dominating and then we play a kicking game. We definitely want to score tries with the backs as well.”

Kick-off at Loftus Versfeld is at 17:15 on Saturday afternoon.
