The Botswana women’s football team has opened its COSAFA Women’s Championship campaign in Gqeberha in fine style.
They beat South Sudan 7-nil in a Group B match.
Botswana led 6-nil at half-time. Tanzania and Zimbabwe clash in the second Group B match.

South Africa went top of Group A on the opening day of the tournament yesterday, after a 2-1 win over Malawi.
The other Group A match between Angola and Mozambique ended in a 2-all draw.
