Bonginkosi Khanyile's trial to begin in August

Fees Must Fall activist Bonginkosi Khanyile will be tried in the Durban Regional Court in August on charges related to the widespread violence last July.
Khanyile is being charged with incitement to violence and violating COVID-19 regulations by allegedly addressing a group of people in Durban during the unrest.
Khanyile appeared in the Durban Regional Court on Tuesday after a pre-trial conference.
The case has been set down for trial from the 15th to the 26th of August. He is out on bail of R5 000.
