Reading Time: < 1 minute

The state is expected to wrap its closing arguments in the bail application of five men suspected of being involved in the harvesting of human body parts at the Makuya periodical court outside Thohoyandou in Limpopo.

The five, including two traditional healers, face charges of the violation of graves, corpses and defeating the ends of justice.

They were allegedly involved in the digging up of graves at Tshitavha and Folovhodwe villages and sold the remains to traditional healers for muti purposes.

They have denied the accusations.

Police exhumed the graves which were suspected to have been dug up and discovered that remains were stolen in four of the five graves.

State prosecutor Mashudu Nekhumbe is expected to advance her reasons as to why the state is objecting the application of denying the suspects bail.

Advocate Agnes Ramanyimi who is representing accused number five, a traditional healer from Mbilwi village, is also expected to close her argument.
