Twelve people have died after a boat carrying migrants sank off southwestern Turkey. The coastguard says 31 migrants were rescued after the boat went down off the coast of Bodrum district in Mugla province.
Search and rescue efforts are continuing. The Nationality of the migrants are not yet known. The incident took place a few kilometres from the Greek island of Kos.
