Black Leopards eased their relegation worries in the ABSA Premiership match by salvaging an 1-all draw with runaway log leaders Kaizer Chiefs.

The draw means Chiefs have stretched their lead to 10 points ahead of second placed Mamelodi Sundowns.

Leopards are 14th on the log with 17 points.

Saturday’s match was preceded by a moment of silence. The Premier Soccer League (PSL) was paying tribute to the wife of the league’s chairperson Irvin Khoza’s wife Mantwa who passed away this week.

The unstoppable Amakhosi striker Samir Nurkovic scored with a header from a corner kick, to increase his goal tally to 10.

However, Leopards kept on probing until they found the equaliser through forward Mogakolodi Ngele with a well taken set piece.
