Limpopo outfit Black Leopards FC have returned to the PSL after more than four years out of the elite league following their 1-0 victory over Jomo Cosmos FC.

Leopards beat Cosmos  in the promotional play offs encounter played at Thohoyandou stadium on Wednesday.

“Lidoda Duvha” as Black Leopards FC fondly called by fans have returned  to Premier Soccer League for the second time.

Leopards were promoted to the PSL for the first time in 2002. They were demoted to the NFD in 2008, after seven years. They then returned to PSL for the second time in 2012 and relegated again in the following year, 2013.

Leopards have now made their third return to the PSL, after finish the promotion play offs in the first position with eight points.

Karaba Tsepe netted the only goal that secured Leopards PSL status.

Coach Joe Masutha says they will compete because they learnt during their last stint in the PSL.
