Bikers pledge support for Mandela Day initiative

Sixty-seven
bikers have revved their engines in support of Mandela Day.The biking
enthusiasts assembled at Irene Village Mall in Pretoria today to form part of the 67 bikers
that will tour the country.
Bikers for Mandela, which started
three years ago, will be renovating the Belfast Children’s Home in Mpumalanga.

says any donation is welcomed. “This year we have decided to do a project
very close by and to actually get 67 bikers of the region to take part in this
ride. We have put the whole trip together, got all the donations as well as
sponsors. So many people have opened their hearts and given donations,”
says Brown.

The initiative forms part of
Mandela Day activities when people give67 minutes of their time to doing
community service, a campaign by the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

Brown says bikers see the
contribution as away to help theneedy.
