Being Norm breaks the norm

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Richard Antrobus returns to the National Arts Festival for the first time as a solo artist in his piece of family and physical theatre “Being Norm”.

This is about an extremely average man named Norman who goes about his life in an above average way.

He comically mimes through the many challenges that the universe deals him – from being unable to find a job to stepping in cow dung.

It combines a bizarre almost crass style of smells, falls and stumbles for the younger age groups with a subtle form of comedy which intended for the older members of the audience.

Antrobus speaks on the importance of children’s theatre and more about his art form in general. He also touches on what Being Norm can offer both the young and the older audiences.
