Providing land to people will restore their dignity: Malema

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) President Julius Malema says African countries are looking to South Africa when it comes to the issue of land.

Malema was speaking at the Mpumalanga’s Provincial People’s Assembly in White River.

Malema says providing land to the people will restore their dignity and Africa is being revolutionised in terms of land.

“Namibia is now taking the land back. Countries are now taking their land back lead by South Africa, we are busy with continental revolution here.”

Meanwhile, Malema urged the new leadership to work for the people. He had a strong message for disgruntled members.

“These people are elected you have to accept that, tomorrow it will be you elected and they have to support you the same way you have to support those elected. Fighters we must build a strong EFF in Mpumalanga, there’s too much potential here.”

Collen Sedibe was re-elected as chairperson and Sam Zandamela’s as his deputy.

Sedibe says he is up for the task ahead.

“My task now is to unite them and ensure we work very hard for the upcoming election and get maximum votes.”

The Provincial People’s Assembly took place in two other provinces.

Two of the top five are women.  Malema has urged more women to participate in leadership positions.
