There were a few surprise results in the Cape Town Sevens quarterfinals after South Africa scored a dramatic come-from-behind 31-26 win over Fiji at the Cape Town Stadium on Sunday.
The next three quarterfinals all produced upset results, starting with the hitherto unbeaten England falling to New Zealand, the 17-12 winners.
USA, also unbeaten on Saturday after three pool games, went down surprisingly 28-12 to Argentina.
Next to join the scrapheap was France who suffered a 35-7 defeat to Canada.
