Gerald Phiri Jr, Kamohelo Mogashwa, Sibonelo Ngubane, Manuel Kambala, Richard Mbulu and Mfanafuthi Shozi were paraded in front of Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality officials and the club’s fans on Thursday while Global Oil Company was announced as the side’s new main sponsor.
Baroka Chairman Khurishi Mphahlele says he is happy when the man that signed the players is pleased.
Bakgaga finished the last term in 14th place with 29 points and Mphahlele says the mandate for the upcoming campaign is just to do well.
The Bakgaga boss has put a challenge to the local municipality to build a stadium.
The club’s roots are in the Makhuduthamaga Local Football Association, but find themselves playing home games in the City of Polokwane due to lack of facilities in their backyard.
Mphahlele wants the home fans to have an easy access to the club.
Meanwhile, coach Wedson Nyirenda says there will be more players coming before the season start.
Nyirenda also reveals that the side is working on loaning three players. – Report by Lethabo Kganyago
