Banyana Banyana will take on Chile at Estadio Santa Laura in Santiago in the second and final international friendly match between the two sides in the early hours of Wednesday morning, South African time.

Banyana Banyana Head Coach, Desiree Ellis, has made three changes to the team that lost 2-1 to Chile in the first match played on Saturday in Vina del Mar.

Kaylin Swart will continue in goals, while Captain Janine van Wyk with Bambanani Mbane will continue with their partnership in central defence.

Thembi Kgatlana is in the starting eleven and will be playing as a winger, while Linda Motlhalo will lead the attack following the suspension of striker Jermaine Seoposenwe, who was red-carded in the first match.

Banyana Banyana will fly back on Wednesday and are expected to land at the OR Tambo International Airport on Thursday just after half past seven in the morning. The Saturday loss against Chile was South Africa’s first in eight matches.

They last suffered defeat in March in the Cyprus Women’s Cup against Belgium, where they finished sixth out of 12 nations.
