Banyana Banyana coach, Desiree Ellis, says their second win against Equatorial Guinea in the Africa Women Cup of Nations will give her players the needed confidence ahead of their final group match on Saturday.

She was optimistic that the 7-1 win over the West African country has given them the momentum that will hold them in good stead for the upcoming fixture.

Banyana Banyana is leading Group B with six points.

“Scoring has been our Achilles heel, we always created but it’s good to see so many goal scorers so that you don’t rely on one individual and that for us is important. When the chances came, there was always one or two or even three in a good position to be able to finish and that is important for us. I think scoring so many goals helps with the confidence, to know that they can get big scores,” says Ellis.
