While campaigning for votes in the forthcoming elections Azapo has conceded that it moved away from its black consciousness origins.

The Azanian People’s Organisation (Azapo) says it prides itself with having paved the way for new political parties that advocate for Black Consciousness.

The party took its election campaign to Marapyane, north of Pretoria.
