Azapo in Limpopo has embarked on a door-to-door election campaign in Botlokwa, north east of Polokwane.
The party’s provincial chairperson Pat Moyaha says locals have raised several challenges, including lack of jobs, housing and poor health services.
The party has encouraged young people, who say they don’t see the benefit of voting, to go out and vote.
Moyaha says some people are disgruntled but we are persuading them not to be. “We must continue to build and continue to contribute towards democracy by voting.”
“Azapo’s message is simple, its a message of hope and trust. We tell them that Azapo is about restoration of dignity, particularly to the black people, creation of a quality education and empowering the health system,” he explains.
