Former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan dies

Former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan has died. Annan is said to have died on Saturday morning in Switzerland after a short illness aged 80.

 

He was the UN Secretary-General between 1997 to 2006. He was also a chair of the group of elders set up by former president, Nelson Mandela.

Boxing champions, legends face off in Limpopo

Boxers Rofhiwa “War Child” Maemu and Jeffrey Mathebula will face Tshifhiwa “Spider” Munyai and Cassius Baloyi respectively in a tournament in Limpopo on Friday.

Maemu is the current WBA Pan African featherweight champion and African Boxing Union (ABU) featherweight champion. Mathebula, who has three championship titles to his name, is coming out of retirement to fight Baloyi.

It has come to the SABC’s attention that a company is publishing unauthorised use of its content on social media platforms.

The SABC distances itself from it and does not endorse it.

The public is advised to exercise caution should they come across it on social media.
