The Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat says he is self-isolating, although he has tested negative for COVID-19.
A staff member at the AU Commission in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Ethiopia has 16 cases of COVID-19 infection with no deaths and four recoveries.
Elsewhere on the continent, the number of cases has risen to 89 in Nigeria, with one death.

South Africa, whose President Cyril Ramaphosa is the current chairperson of the African Union, has the highest number of infections in Africa with 1 187 confirmed cases and one death recorded.
There have been 31 recoveries from the infection.
