The ANC has retained control over the Eastern Cape legislature, although its support declined marginally from 70.09% in 2014 to 68.74% in 2019.
The DA’s support has also declined, from 16.20% to 15.73% – but it remains the second largest party in the provincial legislature.
The EFF is third with 7.84% and the UDM fourth with 2.60%. The ATM secured 1.52%.
