Durban has been listed among the top cities in the world
The New York Times has listed Durban amongst the most popular tourist destinations and the top ten cities to visit in 2015 around the world. The announcement was made by eThekwini Municipality’s Head of Tourism Philip Sithole during the release of the city’s 2013/2014 Tourism statistics in Durban.
SA mourns three showbiz personalities
South Africa continues to mourn the passing of three celebrities the past weekend. They are SABC 3 Top Billing’s presenter Simba Mhere, DJ and music producer Jacky Lehlaka known by his stage name Bojo Mujo and musician, Prosper Mkwaiwa.
Sapa to close shop March 31
The South African Press Association (Sapa) will send out its last story at midnight on March 31. The Board’s chairperson Minette Ferreira said in a statement on Thursday, that after the disposal of the assets the company will be liquidated and its operations will cease on March 31, 2015.
Whitney Houston’s daughter fighting for her life
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only daughter of the late pop star Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown, was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Georgia home on Saturday, but she was revived and rushed to a hospital, police said. Few details about her condition have been released. However, her family has said she was fighting for her life.
