Vaal University of Technology coach Stanley Nkoane says Mamelodi Sundowns must underestimate them at their own peril.

The two teams will clash in the Nedbank Cup last 16 rounds in Atteridgeville on Sunday afternoon. VUT knocked out Golden Arrows in the previous round.

Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane had wished for a clash with a lower division team in this round, and his wish was granted.

On Wednesday night many Sundowns players deliberately got bookings so that they can miss this match. Nkoane says they are going to regret it.

VUT will have an opportunity to come up against two PSL teams in Arrows and Sundowns. Nkoane says they are learning a lot from them.

Nkoane would not divulge Sundowns strengths and weaknesses. However, he highlighted that every team has one player that makes their system to work. But he says they know how to counter the Brazilians.

Nobody expected Arrows to succumb to a fourth-tier team. Some people also did not expect Cape Town City to lose to second-tier team Mbombela United, and also Jomo Cosmos to lose to Hungry Lions. Nkoane explains how they overcame Arrows. – Report by Vincent Sitsula
