Another suspect in the R28-million corruption case against former KwaZulu-Natal MEC Mike Mabuyakhulu has been granted bail of R30 000.

Businessman Mabheleni Ntuli earlier handed himself over to the Hawks.

KwaZulu-Natal Hawks spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo says the suspect appeared in the Durban Commercial Crimes Court Friday morning.

The state alleges that Ntuli was among business people who helped to launder the money that Ceaser Mkhize received to organise the North Sea Jazz Festival in Durban in 2012.

The tender was awarded even though the festival was cancelled.

Mhlongo says more arrests are imminent.

“Yes, we can confirm that there are two outstanding suspects in this matter and arrangements are being made for them to hand themselves over to the Hawks. Since they are not in the province we are expecting them next week.”
