ANCYL president calls on Ramaphosa to inspire hope

Reading Time: < 1 minute

African National Congress Youth League president, Collen Maine, says they’re hoping party leader Cyril Ramaphosa’s January 8 statement will clearly outline this year’s plans according to the mandate of last month’s national elective conference.

The ruling party’s resolutions included the expropriation of land without compensation.

Ramaphosa will deliver the party’s 106th anniversary speech at East London’s ABSA Stadium.

Maine says the message must give hope to the people of South Africa.

Meanwhile struggle icon and member of the veterans league Andrew Mlangeni says he is expecting Ramaphosa’s address to call for unity in order to secure a win for the party in the 2019 national elections.
