African National Congress (ANC) Youth League in Limpopo says it is ready to hold its elective conference next month.  The League’s Provincial Task Team Coordinator, Tony Rachuene, says regions have already started with their elective conferences.

The youth league in the province has failed to elect new leaders since 2018 after internal squabbles over the new leadership.

Limpopo ANC Youth elective conference is scheduled to be held from 28 to 30 April this year.

The ANC Task Team in Limpopo was set up in August last year to ensure unity amongst the members. This is after the party failed to elect new leaders after the term of office of the previous leadership lapsed.

Vhembe, Norman Mashabane in Mopani District, Sekhukhune, and Peter Mokaba will be holding their youth elective conferences this coming week.

Rachuene says they have resolved all the internal battles within their regional structures. He says Limpopo is the first province to receive all recommendations and adopt all branch credentials within the stipulated time frame.

The conference was also postponed because of funding issues:
