The ANC Women’s League (ANCWL) has thrown its weight behind the ruling party’s election manifesto saying its commitments will undoubtedly benefit women.
League president Angie Motshekga has lauded government for making significant progress in fighting gender-based violence.
“It is against this background therefore that the ANC Women’s League places its energies at the disposal of the ANC to tell women in particular, but South Africans in general, the good story that is 20 years of ANC delivery,” says Motshekga.
She also says that the ANCWL fully support the ruling party’s election campaign ahead of May 7.
“As we approach these elections, the ANC women’s league is 100% behind the ANC election campaign. To this end, the ANCWL has committees to release its powerful election machinery in support of the ANC campaign.”
South Africans go to the polls on May 7.
