Fikile Mbalula was briefing the media in Johannesburg on their campaign preparations for the 2019 elections.

The African National Congress (ANC) says it will focus on the needs of the people and putting forth a united governing party.

The party’s Head of Elections Fikile Mbalula says branch members all over the country will be on the ground on a daily basis engaging with the public in order to remedy the problems faced by the people, in the lead up to the 2019 elections.

Mbalula was briefing the media in Johannesburg on the ANC’s campaign preparations for the 2019 elections.

“As directed by the 54th National Conference, we cannot be an organisation that exists only for an election wherein which our engagement with the masses is Ad-hoc. Our focus must be on economic recovery, creating jobs and fighting corruption and accelerate the programme of radical economic transformation. More must be done to meet the needs of our people faster not just in the build up to the elections but all the time, united ANC that is not at war with itself,” says Mbalula.
