Limpopo’s ANC Veterans League is alleging that some delegates for the upcoming Limpopo ANC elective conference have been paid to vote for certain candidates.

The league says vote buying is problematic within the party.

The ANC is due to hold its ninth elective conference in Polokwane from Friday. The top five positions are expected to be contested.

The league’s chairperson Jacob Marule says that vote buying is corruption which has crept into the party, “People have already been bought that’s part of corruption. It’s part of corruption delegates are being promised five thousand rande because they’re hungry, they take it. But the outcome of the conference is going to tell us what happened.”
