ANC takes KHaI-MA municipality

The ANC became the first party to control a municipality in the 2021 Local Government Elections. The party kept control of the KHaI-MA municipality in the Northern Cape.

The ANC received 4403, or 50.55%, of the votes and receives six seats on the council. The NCM won two seats, with 19.62% of the vote, and the DA gets one seat after getting just more than a 1000 votes in the poll.

In 2016, the ANC won 56.99% of the vote in this council.

The IEC reports that 9% of the voting districts have verified results at 05:00 on November 2nd.
